About Water Ops Education

Training grounded in real plant experience.

Water Ops Education is led by Rodney Horne, a water and wastewater professional with 30 years of experience across municipal wastewater, industrial wastewater, and drinking water treatment.

Rodney has served as an Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) for both wastewater and drinking water treatment plants. That experience informs a practical approach to continuing education: explain the science clearly, connect it to real plant conditions, and focus on knowledge operators can use on the job.

Training by an operator, for operators. Water Ops Education is built on the idea that useful training should reflect the decisions, responsibilities, and challenges operators encounter at their facilities.
